Inscribed on the indicative list of Unesco’s World Heritage, the island of Madeleines is a tourist destination in the southwestern part of the capital, Dakar. An archipelago of 45 hectares, a visit is an experience not to be missed. The landscape is sublime, and the islands contain an ecosystem with the presence of baobabs and different species of birds. Also known as “Sarpan Island”, the island represents nature in all its glory.
Boats leave between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. We will take you around the island for about an hour.
Bring a bathing suit, it is a charming little lagoon in which you can swim, very refreshing after the walk.
